Haudenschild moved in to challenge Scelzi for third as those traded sliders as the race approached the halfway mark. Meanwhile, Sweet began to fall back. Both Schatz and Haudenschild got by with 10 laps remaining then Scelzi also passed to move into third.
As Schatz built an advantage of more than two seconds with five laps to go, Carson Macedo entered the top-5 as Gravel started to fade.
