Dewease built a lead of more than one second until a lap 6 caution for an incident involving Schatz and Schuerenberg regrouped the field. On the restart, Wise briefly went to the lead but the move was negated when a red flag was displayed when Peck flipped. The driver was reported to be uninjured.

By the race’s midway point the top-3 of Dewease, Wise and Courtney had separated themselves from the pack as they approached slower traffic. Wise pulled alongside Dewease for the lead but Dewease held the spot on lap 17. But two laps later Wise would not be deterred as the grabbed the top spot.

Dewease fought back as the top-2 went side-by-side with Courtney joining the fray. At the back of the top-5, Gravel passed points leader Sweet.

Courtney took second from Dewease on lap 25 and took off in pursuit of Wise as the leader worked slower traffic. Schuchart moved around Dewease for third with three laps to go.

Courtney caught up to Wise as the laps clicked away making an inside bid but the move was unsuccessful as Wise held on and drove to the victory.
