Thornton, O’Neal set to lead USA Nationals field to green

During the preliminary races held on Thursday and Friday nights at the Cedar Lake Speedway drivers earned points for the purpose of locking themselves into the field for the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals feature slated for Saturday night on the New Richmond, Wisconsin track. The sixteen drivers who tallied the most points during each night’s qualifying, preliminary races, and feature events were locked into the starting lineup for the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series-sanctioned crown jewel show.

Bobby Pierce was the winner on Thursday night at Cedar Lake.

After the points were tabulated, it was determined that Ricky Thornton Jr. and Hudson O’Neal would share the front row for the USA Nationals.
