Iron-Man Open Wheel Series readies for Volunteer Speedway on Aug. 1

SOMERSET, KY (July 27, 2020)—The 2020 season heats up for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Open Wheel Series as the tour picks back up for a busy month of August this Saturday August 1 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. The event will pay $1,200-to-win and $125-to-start.

The Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Series will have a full show of hot laps, qualifying, consolation races and the 25-lap main event. In addition to the Open Wheels, the Sportsman Late Models, the Modified Street, Street Stock, Classics and Front Wheel drives will all be on the racing card.

On Saturday the pit gates open at 4:00 pm, the grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm, the driver’s meeting will be at 6:30 pm and hot laps will roll out at 7:00 pm. Adult general admission is $12.00 while kids 10-under are free. Adult tier and pit passes are $30.00 while kids 5-12 are $15.00 and children 4-under are free.

The Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Series opened the season on June 20 at I-75 Raceway in an exciting race that saw Blake Brown of Corbin, Ky. pick up the payday over Clayton Miller of Elkton, Ky. and Brandon Kinzer of Lexington, Ky.

The tire rule for the Iron-Man Open Wheels is as follows: Hoosier M30s & M60 along with the American Racer Hard & Extra Hard. The M60 & Extra Hard may be used as right-rear options. Iron-Man Series rules and procedures will be enforced. The Open Wheel Series entry fee is $40.00. Transponders from the track will be available to rent. Any car not making the field of 22 will receive $30 tow money.
