O’Neal went to the lead on the restart ahead of Jameson and Babb. Thornton then grabbed third away from Babb on lap 4 but Babb regained the spot one lap later after a side-by-side battle. Ferguson dropped off the pace on lap 11 which lifted Marlar to fifth.

O’Neal began to encounter slower traffic at the halfway point of the race with Jameson working to keep pace. Further back, Thornton got by Babb for third on lap 15.

Following a close call with a lapped car, O’Neal then began to pull away from Jameson, Thornton, Babb and Marlar with five laps remaining. Over the closing laps, it was all O’Neal as he went on to claim the win.
