One of the richest Limited Late Model purses offered in the east Tennessee region will be up for grabs on Saturday night(Aug. 4) at Wartburg Speedway. The 2nd annual Dylan Kennedy Memorial will pay out $3,700 to the winner of the Steelhead Late Model class along with a number of contingency awards with other divisions also in action on the banked quarter-mile speedway.

The race is named in honor of Dylan Kennedy, brother of racer Drew Kennedy, who passed away in July of 2016 at the young age of 22. The idea for the event originated from the Kennedy family with track promoter Raymond Shepard bringing it to fruition last year.

Anthony White beat out Mike Weeks to win the first Dylan Kennedy Memorial in 2017. With such a purse on the line, there will no doubt be a solid lineup of Limited Late Model competitors on hand trying to earn the big payday.

There will also be action in the Sportsman class as well as the Thunder, Street Stocks, Mod Minis, Pony and Front Wheel Drive divisions.

The drivers meeting is set for 7:30pm.
