Tim McCreadie takes delayed Lucas Group B feature at Lernerville

Tim McCreadie took the second preliminary feature on Friday afternoon

Tim McCreadie led all the way on Friday afternoon in a caution-filled race that had originally be slated for Thursday night until rain came after qualifying and heat races had been completed. These Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series preliminary events will serve to set the heat race lineups for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel.

The Longhorn Chassis driver from Watertown, NY earned $5,000 from the track located in Sarver, Pennsylvania in a race shown live by FloRacing.com.

Caution flags then became the order of the day with the most significant being one that came after a lap 3 restart and involved O’Neal, who jumped the cushion while racing Moran for second, with Overton being collected. The damage to Overton’s car was significant enough to end his race while O’Neal was able to continue.

In the end, McCreadie controlled the race leaving others to fight for position behind him.
