The beginning of the second night of the Quad Cities 150 did not go as well as Tanner English might have liked but things certainly picked up later. After starting Friday night’s World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series feature from 18th, the No. 81 car charged to the front of the field during a mid-race restart then ultimately passed Bobby Pierce for the lead on the last lap.
The Longhorn Chassis driver from Benton, Kentucky claimed the $10,000 first prize from the quarter-mile track located in Davenport, Iowa in a race shown live by DirtVision.com.
A total of 34 cars were signed in for competition

Feature Re-cap: When the 40-lap main event took the green flag it was Winger to the early lead followed by Gustin, Pierce, Erb and Clanton. The top-4 of Winger, Gustin, Pierce and Erb looked to break away from the pack as they employed multiple grooves around the track.
Pierce passed by Gustin for second on lap 5 then set off after the leading machine driven by Winger. Pierce took the lead away from Winger on lap 8 as the front runners continued to mix it up all over the track.
Pierce led through the halfway mark as Moran rose through the top-5 by passing Gustin for third just after halfway. A yellow flag on lap 25 slowed the pace. On the restart, Moran moved in to challenge Pierce for the race lead but Pierce held the spot.
A fast rising English jumped all the way to third by lap 30 as Pierce and Moran continued to mix it up ahead. Moran kept Pierce in his sights as the laps clicked inside of five to go as he began using a high line while Pierce stayed low. English then entered the mix getting by Moran for second.
English moved to the inside after the white flag waved catching and passing Pierce through the last set of turns to steal the win just yards from the finish line for his first career World of Outlaws victory.
