Abreu went back to the lead when green flag action resumed with Grave, Haudenschild, Day and Schatz in tow. Further back, the Scelzi brothers fought with Sweet and Macedo at the back of the top-10.

Haudenschild passed Gravel for second on lap 11 which then allowed Day to get by Gravel one lap later. The battle between Day, Gravel and Schatz would carry on for multiple laps just before halfway.

Abreu continued to lead had to contend with slower traffic just past the halfway mark as Haudenschild and Day fought for second just behind. Gravel joined the fray to make it a three-car fight for second.

As the laps clicked away, Abreu began to pull away from Haudenschild as the traffic thickened. In the end, it was Abreu who would control the final circuits to claim the victory.
