Hudson O’Neal

Driver: Hudson O’Neal

Team: Rocket Chassis House Car/Mark Richards Racing

Chassis: Rocket

Season Statistics: O’Neal was 2nd in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series standings following the Pittsburgher at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with 6 series wins along with 31 top-5s and 43 top-10s. Overall, ‘The New Deal’ scored a total of 15 wins this season including the World 100 at Eldora Speedway and a $50,000 win at Port Royal Speedway in Pennsylvania as well as a $100,000 XR Super Series victory at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway.

He Can Be Considered a Favorite Because: O’Neal won the most recent of the crown jewel races held at Eldora when he captured the World 100 in September. He has also shown throughout his career that he can perform when the spotlight is the brightest having, in previous seasons, won the Show-Me 100 and Topless 100 along with those big wins mentioned above.

Quote: “It helps us going there thinking that we can do it, we can win a big race there because we’ve done it, especially with it being so recent. We’ll go there, we’re going to take the same race car, the same everything so hopefully we can walk out of there with some money.”
