These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event coming to SMS will be the “Harley Hooligans” event presented by Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson on May 3-4, 2019.
Classes in action: World of Outlaws Late Model Series for $10,000-to-win(50 laps). There will be racing in the track’s regular classes.

General Information:
The drivers meeting is slated for 7:00pm with hot laps to follow soon afterward.
Weather is expected to be warm with widely scattered showers.
Brandon Sheppard leads the World of Outlaws Late Model Series standings over Darrell Lanigan, Chris Madden, Chase Junghans and Shane Clanton.
Brandon Sheppard has won six of the ten WoO Late Model features held so far this season.
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races at Tazewell and Florence postponed, several of those competitors have indicated they will be in this race.

Lap 3 caution for Brown. Bailes had already built a big lead. Madden is second followed by Richards, Ferguson, Sheppard, Overton, Pursley.
Caution on the restart as Richards was going for second inside of Madden but spun at the exit of turn 2. Coulter, Ivey and others collected.
Lap 15- Bailes with a big lead but in heavy traffic. Madden and Sheppard are second and third.
Halfway- Bailes leads Sheppard, Overton, Madden, O’Neal
Lap 27 caution for flat on Lanigan. Bailes leads Sheppard, Overton, Madden, O’Neal, Ferguson, Hawkins, Erb, Pursley, Weiss.
Lap 32 caution for flat on Clanton. Bailes continues to lead over Sheppard, Overton, O’Neal, Madden, Ferguson, Erb, Hawkins. Overton and O’Neal were trading sliders for third before the caution.
Lap 36 caution for flat on Dillard. Bailes leads Sheppard, O’Neal, Madden, Overton, Erb, Ferguson, Roberts.
Tires often an issue late in races here.
Lap 45 caution for Hawkins. Sheppard had closed on Bailes and was just about to make a move for the lead. O’Neal, Overton, Madden run 3-5.
Sheppard was right on Bailes over the final five laps but couldn’t make the move.
