Live Updates: Sweetheart 52 at 411 Motor Speedway(2-14-15)

InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Sweetheart 52, which includes Limited Late Models and Crate Late Models as well as other classes from the 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015. These updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

Classes in action: Limited Late Models for $1,500-to-win(35 laps); Crate Late Models for $1,500-to-win(35 laps); Sportsman; Street Stocks; Mini Stocks.

*Please Note: While every effort will be made to update all events, the primary focus of these updates will be on the Limited & Crate Late Models. Should a situation arise in one of those divisions that warrants additional coverage(post-race interview, photos or otherwise), the attention of the updater may be briefly drawn away from other classes. That said, we will provide as much information as possible in both the updates and the final race write-up.

General Information:

This is the 3rd annual Sweetheart 52. The race carries the number 52 in honor of the late Scott Sexton.

The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with high temperatures near 50 degrees.

The drivers meeting is set for 12:30pm with hot laps to commence around 1:00pm.

The plan for now calls for each to qualify then line up for features based on time-trial results. Heat races will be run if deemed necessary by track officials.

Lap 3 caution for spin by Ladd. Ridley leads Welshan, Kennedy, White, Hindman, Owenby, McCarter. Had been shaping up as a good battle between Ridley and Welshan.

Lap 8 caution for debris. Ridley continues to lead over Welshan, Kennedy, Hindman, McCarter

Lap 21 caution for Macklin losing an engine. Ridley continues to lead. Welshan pulls off while running 2nd on lap 18. Hindman now 2nd ahead of a great battle for 3rd between Kennedy and McCarter.

Lap 22 caution for Kincaid. Ridley still leads.

Ridley dominated but the battles were good back through the top-5.

Halfway- Welshan took lead on lap 8 and is driving away. Good battles behind him.

After a couple of hiccups on the initial start, the feature ran caution free. Welshan started 6th but went to lead on lap 8 and drove away.
