InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Southern Nationals Bonus Series race from the Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tenn. for Saturday evening, May 21, 2016. Today’s updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter).

Classes in action: Southern Nationals Bonus Series for $5,000(50 laps), Crate Late Models for $2,000(30 laps) along with the track’s regular classes.

*These updates will focus on the Super & Crate Late Model races. Other updates may be limited in favor of obtaining photos and/or stories. 

General Information: Drivers meeting is slated for 6:45pm(central) with racing set to get underway at 7:00pm.

Lap 19 caution as 4th running Moses stops on track. McIntosh has led all the way. M Marlar took second from Hedgecock on lap 10 and was pressuring McIntosh in traffic before the caution. King, S Marlar, Lowe, Kinzer, Ownbey, Buckingham and Ogle follow.

Lap 35 caution for Welshan stopped on track. Incredible fight for the lead between McIntosh and M Marlar. Marlar took lead on lap 26 then McIntosh went back to the front on lap 28. They have been side-by-side multiple times. Hedgecock, S Marlar and King follow the lead battle.

Lap 38 caution as 5th running S Marlar spins. McIntosh leads M Marlar, Hedgecock, King and Kinzer.

McIntosh got some breathing room on the final restart when Hedgecock briefly took second from Marlar and was able to maintain his advantage.

Lap 9 caution for Hunter spin. Ownbey had been leading and pulling away. Trammell, Lowe, White and Waters follow Ownbey.

Pileup at the rear of the field on the restart.

Three-wide racing for second on the restart. Trammell gets spun. Ownbey still leads over Lowe, White, Waters, Hedgecock, Hindman, Teague, Welshan

Lap 13 caution as Teague slows. Ownbey got out to another good lead before the caution. Lowe, White, Hedgecock and Hindman follow.

Lap 21 caution. Ownbey had a good lead but was in heavy traffic. Lowe, White, Hedgecock, Welshan, Martin, Coffman, Hindman, Henderson and Waters follow.

Ownbey was dominant but the racing behind him was very good.
