Live Updates: Southern All Stars/Chevy Super Series at Smoky Mountain(6-16-18)

InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series and Chevrolet Performance Super Series event from Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN on Saturday evening, June 16, 2018. Classes in action: Southern All Stars for $5,000-to-win(40 laps) and Chevrolet Performance Super Series for $3,000-to-win(40 laps).

General Information: Drivers meeting is slated for 6:30 with hot laps to begin soon thereafter.

Jay Scott leads the Southern All Stars standings ahead of Mark Dodson and Ray McElhiney.

There have been six different winners in the six SAS races held so far in 2018.

Ronnie Johnson leads the Chevy Super Series standings over Jake Knowles and Cruz Skinner.

Ronnie Johnson has won both of the Chevy Super Series events held so far in 2018.

Qualifying Results: The field will be broken into two qualifying groups with the top-5 from each transferring to the feature.

Lap 20 caution for McElhiney stopped on track. Kerr leads Hickman, Roberts, Boles, Hedgecock, Scott, Reaid, Buckingham, Collins, English.

Lap 22 caution. Kerr leads Hickman, C Roberts, Hedgecock, Buckingham, Boles, Scott, Collins.

Roberts got inside of Kerr on lap 38 as the Blount Motorsports teammates battled in traffic but Kerr was able to hold on. Buckingham made a strong charge to third after starting 15th.
