These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event coming to SMS will be the “Harley Hooligans” event presented by Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson on May 3-4, 2019.
Classes in action: Southern All Stars for $5,000-to-win along with United Sprint Car Series for $2,000-to-win. Sportsman Late Models will also be in action.
*Please Note: These updates will focus solely on the Southern All Stars race.
General Information:
Weather is expected to be cool with a diminishing chance for showers throughout the night.
The drivers meeting is slated for 6:30pm with hot laps to follow soon afterward.
This race is the first of a two-race weekend for the Southern All Stars. The series will move to Alabama’s Talladega Short Track on Saturday.
Riley Hickman currently leads the Southern All Stars standings over David Breazeale, Zach Leonhardi, Jay Scott, Andrew Littleton.
Neil Baggett, Casey Roberts and Jonathan Davenport have won the three SAS events held so far in 2019.

Lap 1 caution for a flat tire on Buckingham. Winger leads Davenport, Weiss, Hill, Owens, Madden, McIntosh, Strickler, Breazeale.
Lap 25- Weiss leads Winger, Madden, Owens, Overton. Davenport pulled off track from 3rd on lap 21.
Weiss took the lead from Winger in traffic on lap 11 then dominated the remainder of the race.
