These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event there will be the Fall Nationals Opener featuring a $5,000-to-win Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals race along with Limited Late Models, Sportsman Late Models and Kajun Mini-Stocks.
General Information:
Weather is expected to be warm with some chance for rain.
The drivers meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.
This 50-lap race will pay $5,000-to-win.
This is the ninth race of the season for the Southern All-Stars Series. Tyler Millwood won the most recent event at Talladega Short Track.
Billy Franklin leads the Southern All-Stars Series standings over Mark Dodson and Josh Putnam.
8:07- It has begun to rain here. Not sure if it will be enough to impact the program or not.
8:43- Still raining. Might have even picked up a bit.
8:55- Rain has stopped. They are starting the process of running the track in.
9:30- The projection is for cars to be back on track around 10:00pm.
10:08- Hot laps for all classes are now complete. Southern All Stars cars have been called to staging for qualifying.

Lap 1 caution for Hickman. Crabtree leads McIntosh, Hedgecock, Ownbey and Hindman.
Hickman rejoins.
Lap 8 caution for multi-car incident. Hedgecock among those involved. Contact between Crabtree and McIntosh as they raced for the lead in traffic. Crabtree showing signs of tire smoke. Crabtree leads McIntosh, Manley, Ownbey, Webb, Roberson, Hiett, Cook, Millwood, Mitchell. Hedgecock is out.
Lap 9 red flag. Multi-car incident. Hickman flipped several times after being forced into the inside berm. He appears to be ok. Crabtree still leads.
Lap 10 caution involving Franklin and Mitchell. Looks like Mitchell is done. Still Crabtree and McIntosh at the front. Webb, Roberson and Manley round out the top-5.
Lap 18- McIntosh to the lead after Crabtree goes up in smoke.
Lap 23 caution. McIntosh leads Webb, O’Neal, Manley, Hiett. Roberson pulled off under the caution.
Roberson rejoins.
Lap 28 caution for heavy smoke and fluid from 4th running Ownbey. McIntosh leads Webb, O’Neal, Hiett, Millwood
Lap 40- McIntosh and O’Neal tight for the lead.
Lap 44 caution as second running O’Neal slows and pulls off track. McIntosh leads Webb, Hiett, Millwood, Manley, Roberson, Richeson and Dodson. Those are the only cars left on track.
