Heat Race Results: The will be two heat races taking the top-8 from each to the feature.
Heat 1 Finish: 1. Leavell, 2. Johnson, 3. King, 4. Welshan, 5. Lowe, 6. Henry, 7. A White, 8. R White
Leavell took the lead with a three wide move on the start. There was a caution with one to go which caused a pretty good scramble for position at the end.
Heat 2 Finish: 1. Owens, 2. Ownbey, 3. Payne, 4. Smith, 5. Linville, 6. Mayfield, 7. Morris, 8. Cole
Owens started fourth and made a big outside move on the start to take the lead by lap 2.
Feature Notes:
4:22- Feature rolling out. 50 laps for $7151-to-win.
4:27- Four wide!
4:30- Green flag!
Lap 7 caution for spin by Payne. Hedgecock leads McCarter, McIntosh, Owens, Leavell and Arp. Hedgecock had pulled away as McCarter, McIntosh and Owens were in a tight battle for 2nd – 4th.
Lap 18 caution for Steve Smith. Hedgecock still leads but McIntosh and Owens got around McCarter after numerous attempts. Linville, Leavell, Johnson and Arp are 5-8.
Caution on the lap 18 restart as King, Welshan and Yoder are involved in a turn incident.
Lap 20 caution for spin involving Arp and King. Hedgecock still leads McIntosh, Owens, Linville and McCarter.
The race’s second ran caution free as drivers were careful on the slick surface. Hedgecock built a lead of about 15-20 car lengths then maintained as the leaders worked through traffic. McIntosh, Owens and Linville ran in tight formation for a number of laps.

Lap 8 caution for spin by Deaver. Elliott leads King, Hedgecock, Fields,Welshan.
Lap 10 caution as leader Elliott spins in front of second running King causing both to crash. King placed back in lead over Hedgecock.
Lap 17 caution as King stops on track. He had significant body damage after the earlier incident. Hedgecock leads Welshan and Huskey.
Lap 28 caution for Ballenger. Hedgecock leads Welshan, Huskey, A White, Manley.

*According to the track announcer, Duggan asked track officials to check McMahan’s car and the 99 refused the teardown. Duggan is the winner.
