Jonathan Davenport led all the way for a preliminary victory
Jonathan Davenport turned in a dominating performance in the Group A feature for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Lernerville Speedway. This feature was originally meant to be contested on Thursday evening but rain that came after qualifying and heat races had been completed pushed the event to Friday afternoon. Preliminary races held on Thursday and Friday are meant to be used for the purpose of setting heat race lineups for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel.
The Longhorn Chassis driver from Blairsville, Georgia earned $5,000 from the track located in Sarver, Pennsylvania in a race shown live by FloRacing.com.
A total of 51 cars were signed in for competition

Feature Re-cap: Davenport took the lead from the start of the 25-lap feature with Zeigler and Thornton following. Thornton worked his way into second on lap 4 as the No. 49 began put distance between himself and his pursuers. Further back, Overton got by Zeigler to take the fourth position on lap 6.
A lap 7 caution regrouped the field. After the restart, Davenport continued to lead while Zeigler, Blair and Erb fought for position in the middle of the top-10.
By lap 20, Davenport had built a lead of just over 4 seconds ahead Norris, Overton and Blair.
In the end, it was all Davenport as he collected the victory.
