Jonathan Davenport takes the Group A prelim at Eldora
Jonathan Davenport once again found himself in victory lane at the Eldora Speedway on Thursday night in the Group A feature in a World 100 preliminary event. ‘The Fast 49’ won in dominating fashion as he took the lead early then drove away.
The Longhorn Chassis driver from Blairsville, Georgia earned $12,000 for his efforts at the track located in Rossburg, Ohio in a race aired live by FloRacing.com.
Points accumulated on Thursday and Friday will be used to set the heat race lineups for Saturday night’s World 100.
A total of 107 cars were signed in for competition

Feature Re-cap: When the green flag waved over the 25-lap feature it was Owens to the early lead with Johnny Scott, Davenport, Madden and Overton trailing. Davenport went to second on the second circuit while Overton got by Scott for third a bit further back.
Davenport began to pull away from a close battle between Owens and Overton as Madden passed Scott for fourth.
Davenport built his lead to more than three seconds with 10 laps remaining as Owens, Overton and Madden rode in close formation. Ultimately, Davenport would go on to win by more than five seconds.
