Feature Re-cap: Gravel bolted to the lead when the green flag waved over the 25-lap feature with Brown, Williamson, Macedo and Bayston in his wake. Macedo began to move forward early on when he passed Williamson for third on the second circuit.

After a two laps battle with Bayston it was McFadden who would enter the top-5 on lap 7 while Macedo took second away from Brown.

Gravel found himself among slower traffic as the race approached the halfway mark which allowed Macedo to close quickly from second. However, Macedo’s car began flipping wildly nose-over-tail on lap 16 then burst into flames after coming to rest in turn four.

Other driver as well as safety crew personnel rushed to Macedo’s aid with the flames being extinguished. With assistance, Macedo was able to walk to an awaiting ambulance.

After the restart, Gravel led Brown, Williamson, Eliason and Scelzi. Over the closing laps, the No. 2 car would sail away and ultimately take the checkered flag for the win at Sprint Car racing’s most historic track.
