Feature Re-cap: At the start of the 35-lap feature Haudenschild took the early lead following a side-by-side battle with Sweet. Schatz, Macedo and Kahne followed the lead duo during the early laps. Macedo took third away from Schatz on lap 4.

Slower traffic became a factor quickly as the race’s early stages progressed without a yellow flag. Sweet passed Haudenschild for the top spot on lap 10. Further back, Gravel was on the rise from his row 5 starting position as he moved by Schatz for fourth on lap 13.

The top-4 of Sweet, Haudenschild, Macedo and Gravel ran in tight formation among lapped cars on lap 18. Gravel took third away from Macedo on lap 20 on the multi-groove track. Gravel then wrested the runner-up spot away from Haudenschild three laps later.

Schatz got by Macedo for fourth on lap 25 shortly before a caution for Riggins slowed the action.

Following the restart, Gravel closed in on Sweet and looked to challenge for the lead but a caution on lap 30 for Gass put the race for the lead on hold.

A red flag was displayed just after the lap 30 restart when McFadden’s car rolled over.

When the race went back to green flag conditions Gravel closed in and kept the No. 49 in his sights, but in the end, Sweet maintained control and eventually sailed to the 80th WoO Sprints victory of his career.
