Fans and competitors waited 31 years for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series to return to BAPS Motor Speedway then they had to wait an extra day after rain forced the postponement of Wednesday night first attempt. David Gravel would ultimately best a full field of competitors to earn the win in the Bricker’s Bash.
The Big Game Motorsports driver from Watertown, CT earned $10,000 from the track located in York Haven, Pennsylvania in a race shown live by DirtVision.com.

Feature Re-cap: The 30-lap main event got underway with Sweet going to the early lead ahead of Gravel, Schuchart, Macedo and Scelzi. Eliason passed Scelzi for fifth on the second circuit but Scelzi would retake the position one lap later.
Furious battles were being waged throughout the field just behind the leaders.
Sweet and Gravel ran in tight formation as the contested the lead of the race as the feature headed toward the halfway point, Gravel’s efforts paid off on lap 14 as he got by Sweet for the lead. However, Sweet fought back to regain the position one lap later.
Gravel continued to harass Sweet for the top spot over the next five laps until he made a move in traffic to take the lead for good on lap 20. Further back, Marks and Haudenschild passed Scelzi for fifth and sixth on lap 23. Then Schuchart closed in to challenge Sweet for the runner position but the four-time champion held the spot.
In the end, Gravel scored the win as he sailed under the checkered flag. It was the eighth WoO feature win of 2023 for the series points leader.
