The Weekend Podium is a weekly feature in which Richard Allen will offer his account in audio form of what he believes to be the top-three biggest dirt racing stories of the past weekend.
After taking a few weekends off, this is the first Weekend Podium of 2022.
For the weekend of January 7-8, 2022, the top stories include Michael Page’s sixth consecutive Ice Bowl win at Talladega Short track and the controversy that surrounded the start of that race. Also, the rivalry between Rocket and Longhorn that came to light with Brandon Sheppard’s post-race comments after his win in the Wild West Shootout.
