Last year, east Tennessee Late Model racer and engine builder Vic Hill promoted multiple Steelhead Late Model events at the Volunteer Speedway with great success. According to a message posted by Hill on Twitter and a note on the track’s website, there will be another special event for that class this coming weekend at the Bulls Gap, Tenn. track.

Drivers will compete for a $1,500 first prize in the Steelhead(Limited) Late Model class. There will also be racing for Crate Late Models and Modified Hobby cars to round out the schedule of activities.

The action will take place on Saturday, April 5th. Driver’s meetings at Volunteer Speedway typically take place at around 7:00pm with hot laps soon afterwards.
