It was originally announced at ‘The Scorcher’ in late August that the racing season at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. was ending on that night of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition. However, plans have changed and a new event has been added to the racing calendar.

East Tennessee racer and engine builder Vic Hill has announced that he will promote a big Limited(Steelhead) Late Model and Modified Street race on the Joe and Phyllis Loven owned third-mile facility on Saturday, October 11. The track has played host to a number of other similar events run by the Mosheim, Tenn. Super Late Model star.

The Limited Late Model event will pay $2,500 to the winner while the Modified Street feature will offer up $1,500 to the victor.
