Southern All Stars set to sanction Bama Bash at East Alabama

Southern All Star Open Up Biggest Season Opener With 18th Annual Bama Bash At 
East Alabama Motor Speedway

FAYETTEVILLE, TN-The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will open season #32 
with it biggest opening weekend of the year when it be sanctioning the 18th 
Annual Bama Bash February 26-28 at the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix 
City, AL.

“The Bama Bash is one the biggest and most prestigious events in dirt late model 
racing and the Southern All Stars are proud to sanction this event for Billy & 
Beverly,” said Lynn Acklin GM of Southern All Stars.  “We having been doing the 
State Championship races for East Alabama for the last two years and Beverly 
approached me about doing the Bama Bash and it was just a natural fit.”

The Bama Bash will open up the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series season and 
will pay $15,000 to win for the 100 lap race that will also have $5,000 in lap 
available also, so it will make it the highest paying event in the history of 
the Southern All Stars.
Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., who is coming off his second straight series 
championship will once again be making another run at the title as he announced 
at the banquet last week and will lead the series drivers into the event, along 
with Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN., who came in second in points, 2014 Cruise 
with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie of the year Chris Wilson of Crossville, 
TN., also indicated that his coming back to run in 2015, along with Josh Putnam 
of Florence, AL., who also indicated plans on starting out the 2015 season with 
the series.

Other drivers that are expected to be in action include Dennis Erb Jr of 
Carpentersville, IL., along with three Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series 
Champions, Clint Smith of Senoia, GA., Chris Madden of Gray Court, SC., Randy 
Weaver of Crossville, TN., Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA., Tony Knowles 
of Tyrone, GA., Mack McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN., Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL., 
Scott Groves of Canton, GA., and Dillon Tidmore of Gadsden, AL.

Many more drivers are expected to be entered in the coming days as Thursday 
night February 26th will be practice night for all divisions, then on Friday 
night the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series super late models will compete in 
White Performance Engines qualifying, along with Hoosier Racing Tires qualifying 
heats, then on Saturday night Southern All Star super late model action will 
consist of PPM Racing Products B Mains along with the 100 lap Bama Bash.
