Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. will offer fans of the east Tennessee region a 2017 schedule filled with high-profile races. As has become the custom for the 4/10-mile clay oval facility, the schedule will feature special events with sanctioned Super Late Model features making up the vast majority of the race dates.
The 2017 schedule will feature four races that will pay at least $10,000 to win. Just like in 2016, their season will start with the Spring Nationals Tennessee Tipoff on March 9-11 for a $15,000 to win race.
The Craftsman World of Outlaws Late Model Series has a $10,000 to win race on Saturday, May 13.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returns on July 8 for a $12,000 to win race.
The Southern All-Stars will sanction a $10,000 to win race on October 5-7.
Other sanctioning bodies set to stage races on the track are the Southern Nationals Bonus Series, United Crate Racing Association, USCS Sprint Series, and the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars. The Southern All-Stars will visit for two additional races during the season.
Support classes will accompany each of these events with specifics regarding divisions and payouts to be released at a later date.
