Rico Abreu achieved a goal of his on Wednesday night at Grandview Speedway in the High Limit Sprint Car Series when he won his first race with the series. At the same time, he also beat Kyle Larson in a head-to-head battle to collect the winner’s trophy. The race had been rescheduled from Tuesday night when rain had delayed the event.
Larson had been going for his fourth consecutive High Limit win.
The Rico Abreu Racing driver from St. Helena, California earned $23,023 for his efforts on the track located in Bechtelsville, PA in a race shown live by FloRacing.com.

Feature Re-cap: On the initial attempt to start the race Freddie Rahmer flipped in turn one to bring out a red flag. The driver walked away from the incident under his own power.
At the beginning of the 35-lap feature it was Larson who got the early lead ahead of Peck, Schuerenberg, /marks and Abreu. On the second circuit it was Abreu who went on the move by passing Marks but a caution for a tangle involving Zomer and Henry slowed the pace.
Abreu went to third on the restart behind Larson and Peck.
After 10 laps had been completed Peck and Abreu were keeping pace with Larson as the front runners began to contend with slower traffic. But a yellow flag on lap 11 for the spinning car of Timms. At the time of caution, Larson led Peck, Abreu, Schuerenberg and Marks.
Abreu moved into second on the restart pushing Peck back to third. The top-5 ran in single-file formation until a lap 18 caution for the slowing third-place car of Peck interrupted the action.
Abreu bolted to the lead on the lap 18 restart ahead of Larson and Marks. The No. 24 looked to pull away until a lap 22 yellow flag was displayed when Timms spun. At that time, Abreu led Larson, Marks, Eliason and Kahne.
Dietrich jumped to fourth on the restart trailing Abreu, Larson and Marks.
Larson drew to the side of Abreu with five laps remaining but Abreu fought off the challenge. Ultimately, it would be Abreu who would stop Larson’s three-race High Limit winning streak.
