During the first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series heat race on Thursday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, drivers Zeb Wise and Ryan Roberts were involved in a wild and scary crash. Both cars flipped with Wise getting the worst of it considering that when his car landed the throttle appeared to hang open which caused the machine to spin wildly on its side before finally shutting off.
Safety crews took the time to carefully remove Wise from his car and he would eventually be taken away from the track by ambulance. He was reported to be awake and alert.
It was announced at the track that Wise was treated and released from an area hospital.
Thank you all for the kind words and messages. If I haven’t replied yet don’t take it personal I have a lot of messages haha. Little banged up, but walking on my two feet is about all I can ask for after that. Thankful for Charlotte’s safety crew and all my safety equipment. 👊 pic.twitter.com/3ZZXfmVu07
