Devin Moran scored the Group A win at Off Road
Devin Moran led all the way in the first of two preliminary races for the XR Super Series at Off Road Speedway but he had to hold back a late race charge from Bobby Pierce to do it. This was one of the lead-in races that will set up Tuesday’s $100,000-to-win event.
The top-5 feature finishers were locked into their starting positions for Tuesday’s show.
The Longhorn Chassis driver from Dresden, Ohio earned $5,000 from the track located in Norfolk, Nebraska in a race shown live by XRevents.plus.
A total of 28 cars were signed in for competition.

Feature Re-cap: The 25-lap feature began with Moran bolting to the early lead with Davenport, Pierce, Bronson and Tyler Erb trailing. English got by Erb for fifth on lap 3 then Pierce took the runner-up spot away from Davenport on lap 4.
Bronson issued a challenge to Davenport on lap 7 and ultimately grabbed third as Moran worked to put some distance between himself and the pack. As the race neared the halfway mark, Davenport and English engaged in a fierce battle for fourth that continue for most of the remaining circuits.
As the race that ran caution free ran toward its conclusion, Pierce closed in on Moran in hopes of stealing the win away. With just three laps to go, the No. 32 drew right up to the rear spoiler of the No. 99. Going through turns one and two after taking the white flag, Pierce dove to the inside of Moran but was unable to make the move stick.
In the end, it was Moran who would sail under the checkered flag for the win.
