Live Updates: Xtreme Winter Series at Cherokee(1-26-20)

InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Winter Series event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC on Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2020. The updates will be provided by Richard Allen(@RichardAllenIDR on Twitter and @RichardAllenIDR on Instagram).

These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event there will be the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on March 7, 2020.

Classes in action: Xtreme DIRTcar Winter Series for $5,000-to-win(40 laps) as well as the track’s other classes.

*Please Note: These updates will focus solely on the Super Late Model race.

General Information:

Weather is expected to be cool with no chance for rain.

The drivers meeting is slated for 12:30pm with hot laps to follow soon afterward.

This is the second ever Xtreme DIRTcar Winter Series race and the fourth of five scheduled for the winter of 2019-20.

There were originally six races scheduled for this series but the event slated for yesterday at Cochran(GA) Speedway was lost to weather.

Chris Madden leads the Xtreme Winter Series standings over Trent Ivey, Kyle Strickler, Logan Roberson, and Zack Mitchell.

Madden has won to of the three races held so far.

12:30- Drivers being called to the drivers meeting.

1:05- Hot laps for all classes about to commence.

Bailes led all the way. He was not driving the Big Frog No. 58 that he will drive later on this season.
