The next race scheduled for SMS will be dual $5,000-to-win ‘Rockin With the Stars’ features for the Southern All-Stars Dirt Late Model Series and the Steel Block Bandits Late Model Series on April 23rd. This will be the first of four XR Super Series races at Bristol Motor Speedway with the overall points champion from those four races earning $100,000.

Chris Ferguson and Jonathan Davenport won last year’s Dirt Late Model races held at BMS.

Davenport pulled off after lap 5 with a flat tire.

Davenport, Clanton and Herrington involved in an accident in turn one of the first lap. Davenport’s car briefly climbed on top of the Clanton machine while Herrington was collected. All three continued.

*Weiss has been very fast here since unloading for practice last night.

Hill gets spun and hits the inside wall on the initial start. He’s out of the race.

*Good battle between Ford and Overton for second. Marlar had to go to the tail after his flat tire but came back to the final transfer spot.

Contact on the start of this race resulted in a flat left rear for Marlar.

Being reported that Thornton exceeded his tire limit for the night. He loses his 7th starting spot and has to drop to the tail.

Lap 1 caution for crash involving Ford and Chilton with significant damage to both. Looks like Chilton may have lost a wheel and Ford was collected. Madden leads Weiss, Owens, McDowell and Pearson.

Lap 10- Madden leads Weiss, Owens, McDowell, Lanigan

Lap 15- Madden’s lead is 4 seconds over Weiss. McDowell now 3rd ahead of Owens and Overton.

Halfway- Madden still leads but Overton has roared to second over McDowell, Weiss, Owens.

Now McDowell takes second from Overton.

Lap 30- Madden still with a big lead over McDowell, Overton, Weiss, Owens, Lanigan, Pearson and Devenport

Lap 45- Madden dominating. McDowell, Overton, Davenport, Weiss round out the top-5.
