InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Spring Nationals event at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, TN on Friday evening, May 17, 2019. The updates will be provided by Richard Allen(@RichardAllenIDR on Twitter and @RichardAllenIDR on Instagram).

These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event coming to SMS will be the “Memorial Day Mayhem” for the American Crate All-Star Series, Limited Late Models, and Sportsman Late Models on May 24, 2019.

Classes in action: Spring Nationals for 4,000-to-win along with some of the track’s support classes.

*Please Note: These updates will focus on the Spring Nationals race.

General Information:

Weather is expected to be warm with little chance for rain.

The drivers meeting is slated for 6:30pm(Central) with hot laps to follow soon afterward.

Dale McDowell leads the Spring Nationals standings ahead of Donald McIntosh and Ashton Winger.

Spring Nationals Super Late Models

Qualifying Results: Drivers will be broken into two groups for qualifying. Group A will be qualifying for the inside rows while Group B will qualify for the outside rows.

Group B Results- 1. Tweed(12.119), 2. English, 3. McDowell, 4. S Cook

*Bailes time is a new track record.

Caution on the start. McDowell has a problem. Crew looking under the car. HesH out of the race.

Lap 14 caution for Taylor. Bailes leads English, McIntosh, Overton, Knuckles, Cook, Neubert. Top-4 had broken away.

Caution on the restart as second running English slows. Bailes now leads McIntosh, Overton, Knuckles.

Bailes pulls off under caution with a flat right rear. He rejoins the race at the tail.

Caution on the restart for Neubert. McIntosh leads but now second running Overton pulls off. He is out of the race. McIntosh, Knuckles, Cook, Moses, Tidmore.

Lap 25- McIntosh leads Knuckles, Moses, English, Bailes

Lap 28 caution for Cook. Still McIntosh, Knuckles, Moses, English, Bailes, Tidmore, Payne
