Classes in action: NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series for $2,000-to-win(40 laps) as well as features for the Thunder and Front Wheel Drive classes.
*Please Note: These updates will focus primarily on the NeSmith Late Models. Any other updates will be dependent on a number of factors, including driver roster availability and timeliness of the event.
General Information: Drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:15pm with hot laps to begin soon afterwards.
Weather is expected to be cool and breezy.

This is part of a two night show for the NeSmith Late Models. This is also the season opener for this series.

Heat Race Results: There will be two heat races transferring the top-6 from each.
Heat 1 Finish: 1. A White, 2. McIntosh, 3. King, 4. Johnson, 5. Mayfield, 6. Shaw
They will start the feature in positions 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 & 21.
Heat 2 Finish: 1. Williams, 2. Brittain, 3. Roland, 4. Turner, 5. Huskey, 6. Minga
They will start the feature in positions 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 & 22.
Feature Notes:
10:15- Feature rolling out. 40 laps for $2,000.
10:21- Four wide!
10:24- Green flag!
Lap 1 caution as Henderson and Hickman get together racing for 2nd. Several others spun to avoid but no significant damage. Hedgecock leads. Looks as if Hickman will be placed back in second. Edge, Ownbey and R White follow. Henderson sent to the tail.
Lap 3 caution for flat on Johnson. Hedgecock still leads over Hickman, Edge, Ownbey, R White, Dedwylder, Stephens.
Caution on the restart as several cars tangle in turn 2. Edge, Stephens, Gauldin, King, Roland, Johnson among those involved.
Lap 5 caution as Blount slows. Hedgecock leads Hickman, Edge, Ownbey, Stephens, Dedwylder, R White, Williams, McIntosh, Shaw, Manley.
Lap 26 caution for Gauldin stopped on track. Hedgecock, Hickman, Stephens, Ownbey and Edge had been running in tight formation in heavy traffic. Dedwylder, McIntosh, Williams, Shaw, Manley are 6-10.
