InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA on Friday evening, January 31, 2020. The updates will be provided by Richard Allen(@RichardAllenIDR on Twitter and @RichardAllenIDR on Instagram).

These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The next event there will be the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on March 7, 2020.

Classes in action: Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for $12,000-to-win(50 laps) along with the track’s regular Late Model class.

*Please Note: These updates will focus solely on the LOLMDS race.

General Information:

Weather is expected to be cool with a chance for rain.

The drivers meeting is slated for 4:30pm with hot laps to follow soon afterward.

This will be the 2020 season opener for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Jonathan Davenport has been the LOLMDS champion for each of the past two seasons.

4:30- Drivers meeting underway

5:07- Cars being called to staging for hot laps.

5:43- Because the track was pretty wet during the first hot lap session they have added a second session.

6:05- We’re now in a holding pattern as it has begun to rain.

*Tonight’s racing action has been cancelled due to rain and will not be made up. The regularly scheduled event for tomorrow will go on as planned*
