Live Updates: Lucas Oil at Golden Isles for Saturday night(2-2-19)

Classes in action: Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Super Late Models for $12,000-to-win(50 laps).

*Please Note: These updates will focus solely on the LOLMDS race.

General Information:

This is the opening weekend of the 2019 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season.

Jonathan Davenport is the defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion.

Josh Richards, Ryan King, Don O’Neal and Jimmy Owens were fastest in thrit respective hot lap groups with Owens being fastest overall.

5:45- Cars were lined up to qualify but turned and went back to the haulers as rain began to fall.

7:15- The hope is that track prep can begin in about 15-20 minutes as the rain has stopped.

8:15- Engines are rumbling in the pit area.

9:15- Track packing is complete and hot laps are underway.

Lap 2 caution for big crash involving Overton, King, Bronson and others. Looks like most will continue. Owens leads Bloomquist, Richards, T Erb and Davenport.

Lap 5 caution for flat on H O’Neal. Owens leads but Richards was challenging. Bloomquist and Davenport were side-by-side for third.

Lap 10 caution as Owens spins while racing Bloomquist for the lead. Richards basically drove under the Owens car after the 20 spun. Bloomquist leads Pearson, Davenport, D O’Neal and T Erb.

Owens and Richards in the hot pit. Both came back out. Restarting at the tail.

Lap 37 caution for Owens slowing. Pearson passed Bloomquist for the lead on lap 32. Davenport, T Erb, D O’Neal, Sheppard, D Erb, Satterlee, Moran and Overton trail the top-2.
