Drivers meeting is set for 7:15 with cars slated to hit the track around 7:30.

Weather: 

Weather is expected to be partly cloudy with daytime highs in the upper 60s and nighttime lows in the upper 40s.

General Information:

This race serves to honor the late Walter Ball, who raced on numerous tracks throughout east Tennessee from the 1950s- 1970s. His son, Dale Ball, is a regular competitor at the Volunteer Speedway.

Lap 4 caution for Chandler. Welshan leading R White, A White, Estes, Tweed, Hedgecock, Cardwell.

Lap 14 caution for A White slow on track. Welshan still leads R White, Estes, Tweed, Cardwell, Hedgecock, Manley. Hedgecock had been 4th was docked positions for jumping last restart.

Lap 23 caution for the leader Welshan stopped on track. He’s out. R White leads Estes, Tweed, Cardwell, Manley, Hedgecock.

Caution on restart as Manley crashed on backstretch. Possible contact with Cardwell. Manley made angry gesture toward him as cars rolled by under caution. Next time by Cardwell stopped at the scene and the two exchanged words.

Feature finish- 1. Estes, 2. Hedgecock, 3. R White, 4. Cardwell, 5. Collins, 6. Mayfield, 7. Gantte.

Estes took the lead from R White on lap 32 after working on him for several laps. Hedgecock made a big charge through the field after that early penalty.

Ross White’s car appears to have caught on fire after the race. Crews have it extinguished.

Welshan got out to a good lead and pulled away in traffic. McMahan and Byrd were side by side at the finish. Good battle from 3rd on back throughout the race.
