We will be providing live updates from the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN for Friday night, August 15, 2014. Tonight’s updates are being provided by Richard Allen( @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter ).

Drivers meeting is slated for 7:15 with hot laps to follow soon afterward.

It is relatively cool for August in east Tennessee with virtually no chance of rain.

9:35- B-main rolling out. Brad Lowe and Anthony White on the front row. Top-12 transfer.

B-main Results: 1. A White, 2. Lowe, 3. Martin, 4. R White, 5. Sise, 6. Manley, 7. Henry, 8. Collins, 9. Hindman, 10. Smith, 11. Mayfield, 12. Chandler

Estes gets in the feature as Chandler is not starting.

10:15- Feature rolling out.

10:30- Green flag!

Lap 14 caution for Henry. Trammell leads Hedgecock, Hickman, Johnson, Cardwell.

Lap 16 caution for Ford.

Caution on restart affecting several lead cars. Trouble on Trammell car possibly put fluid on the track. Hedgecock spun as did Henderson. Other cars received damage. Hickman now leads Johnson, Cardwell, Donahoo and Welshan.

Race was briefly red flagged for cleanup. Hedgecock and Trammell are out. Henderson is back out on the tail of the field.

Lap 24 caution for Estes. Hickman and Johnson had been separating from the pack.

Lap 38 caution for Henry in turn 4 wall after flat tire. He and Johnson had made contact in turn 1 as the leaders worked through traffic. Hickman leads Johnson, Cardwell, Donahoo, Welshan, Perry, Ogle, King and A White.

Feature finish: 1. Hickman, 2. Johnson, 3. Cardwell, 4. Donahoo, 5. Welshan, 6. Perry, 7. Ogle, 8. King, 9. A White, 10. Lowe

Hickman got away by 3-4 car lengths after the final restart and was able to maintain the advantage.

Trammell reports that a suspension piece broke which then punctuated the fuel cell and did other damage. Hedgecock spun in the fuel that dumped on the track.

Lap 20 caution for spin by Brake. Trent had a big lead over Coffey, Byrd, Welshan and Broyles. Incredible racing from 2nd on back.

Feature finish: 1. Trent, 2. Coffey, 3. Welshan, 4. Byrd, 5. Broyles, 6. Chapman, 7. Maupin, 8. Courtney.

Really good racing. Trent led all the way. Three wide for 2nd several times. Quite a bit of paint swapping.
