Time:
Drivers meeting is slated for 7:00pm. Racing is scheduled to begin around 8:00pm.
Weather:
Weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 80s with a chance for scattered thundershowers.
General Information:
This is the first race of the Ray Cook promoted Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Old Man’s Garage mini-series. The series will send drivers and teams on a journey that will have them race 10 times over the course of 13 days in Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia.
There had been a rumor that Scott Bloomquist would drive in place of Chris Madden if Madden did not feel well after hot laps. It appears as if Madden will indeed drive tonight.

The field will be broken into two groups for qualifying. The top-2 from each group will go to a dash race to determine the starting order for the first two rows. Everyone else will go to one of two B-mains. The top-8 from the B-mains will transfer to the feature.
Jonathan Davenport was fastest in hot laps.

Jacobsen passed Hill in 3&4 of the last lap. Hill and Madden had traded the lead earlier.
B-main 2 finish: 1. Knowles, 2. McCarter, 3. Coulter, 4. Kinzer, 5. Howell, 6. Roberson, 7. Collins, 8. Allen.
Knowles took the lead early and drove away for the win.
10:10- 35 lap feature is lining up on the front straightaway.
10:17- Four wide!
10:19- Green flag!
Lap 7 caution for flat on 4th running Dillon. Davenport and Franklin had pulled away from Boles, Dillon, Madden, Hill, Jacobsen, Knowles and McCarter.
Dillon rejoins at the tail.
Lap 11 caution as Mccarter slows suddenly out of four and McIntosh spins to avoid. Davenport leads Franklin, Madden, Boles, Hill, Jacobsen, Knowles, Coulter and Ogle.
Davenport has been in command.
Lap 19 caution as Kinzer erupts in smoke. Davenport continues to lead Franklin and Madden.
The leaders had just begun to catch slower traffic when the caution waved.
Lap 27 caution. Davenport still leads and was putting on a show lappping slower cars on the outside. Franklin, Madden, Boles, Hill, Knowles, Jacobsen, Coulter, Dillon and Ogle follow.
Feature finish: 1. Davenport, 2. Franklin, 3. Madden, 4. Boles, 5. Hill, 6. Knowles, 7. Jacobsen, 8. Ogle, 9. McIntosh, 10. Dillon, 11. A Smith, 12. Coulter.
Davenport was always in control. There was some great battling at the back of the top-10, sometimes going three and four wide.
