General Information:
This is the seventh of ten races in the Ray Cook promoted Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Old Man’s Garage.
Chris Madden leads the Southern Nationals standings coming into this race over Eric Jacobsen, Billy Ogle, Jr., Vic Hill and Donald McIntosh.
NASCAR stars Austin and Ty Dillon are expected to race here at Boyd’s.

It has been announced that this is the biggest crowd in the history of Boyd’s Speedway.

The Southern Nationals divide the field into two groups for qualifying with the top-2 from each group being sent to a dash race that will set the first two rows of the feature starting lineup. Everyone else will compete in B-mains to set the remainder of the feature field.
There will be four B-mains transferring the top-4 from each.

Lap 10 caution for Ty Dillon spin. Weaver had checked out. Had almost a straightaway lead over A Dillon, Madden, RJ, Dacus, Croft, Ogle.
Lap 21 caution for Ames stopped on track. Weaver just dominating. Good race for 2nd between A Dillon, Madden and RJ.
Feature finish: 1. Weaver, 2. Madden, 3. Johnson, 4. A Dillon, 5. Hickman, 6. Dacus, 7. Croft, 8. McIntosh, 9. Ogle, 10. Kirkpatrick.
The winner was never in doubt but Madden, RJ and Dillon had an incredible race for 2nd. Madden went from 4th to 2nd on lap 29 by dicing between Dillon and Johnson. The three of them were three wide several times.
This was Weaver’s sixth win in as many starts.

11:00- Feature about to start.
Big pileup on the start as pole sitter Gifford did not fire which stacked the entire inside row up behind him. It may have been Burroughs rather than Gifford who didn’t fire at the start.
Lap 2 caution for a spin at tail of the field. Pritchard leads Burroughs, Coffman and Gifford.
Coffman just pulled off track with possible flat tire.
Lap 3 caution as Burroughs and Gifford spin while racing for 2nd. Pritchard leads Owens and Gifford.
Wreck on the restart as Duplissey got sideways in front of a big pack of cars.
Lap 10 caution for spin by 4th running Owens. Pritchard leads Gifford, Turner, Welshan
Race stopped early due to time constraints.
