Classes in action:

Drivers meeting is slated for 6:45 with on track action slated for 7:00pm.

Weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 80s with a chance for scattered thundershowers.

General Information:

This is the second race of the Ray Cook promoted Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Old Man’s Garage mini-series. The series will send drivers and teams on a journey that will have them race 10 times over the course of 13 days in Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia.

Jonathan Davenport won round 1 on Monday night at Virginia’s Wythe Raceway.

The Southern Nationals break the field into two groups for qualifying with the top-2 from each group going to a dash race to set the starting lineup for the first two rows in the feature. Everyone else will compete in one of two B-mains to set the rest of the starting lineup.

Ryan King was fastest in Super Late Model hot laps.

Lap 2 caution for spin by Mays. Weaver leads King, Madden, A Smith, C Ogle, Boles, Hill, Marlar, Roberson, Knowles

Lap 3 caution for spin by Marlar in chain reaction incident. Looked as if Marlar was trying to pull off track prior to getting tagged. Order the same as above.

Lap 12 caution for B Ogle up in smoke. Huge pool of oil under the 201 car. Weaver had a big lead but had just hit heavy traffic. King, Madden, A Smith, C Ogle, Boles, Hill, Burroughs.

Lap 24 caution for Henderson stalled on track. Weaver was in a hornets nest of traffic. Madden now 2nd.

Lap 31 caution for spin by Roberson. Very close call for Weaver who leads Madden, King, A Smith, C Ogle, Boles, Hill

Feature finish: 1. Weaver, 2. Madden, 3. King, 4. A Smith, 5. C Ogle

Sportsman

They will line up for the feature based on time-trials.

Poore led all the way. Best battle on the track was between Alvey and Miley for 2nd.
