Live Updates: Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway(11-22-20)

InsideDirtRacing.com will be providing live updates from the $10,000-to-win ‘Blue-Gray 100’ Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series/Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series co-sanctioned event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC on Sunday afternoon, November 22, 2020. These updates are brought to you by Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. The 2020 season has concluded at Smoky Mountain. Look for information coming soon regarding the track’s exciting plans for 2021.

General Information:

Weather is expected to be cool with little to no chance for rain.

Drivers meeting is slated for 12:00noon.

The Blue-Gray 100 feature will be 100 laps paying $10,000-to-win.

This race is co-sanctioned by the Xtreme DIRTcar Series and the Carolina Clash Series.

This will be the first race on the Xtreme tour for 2020-21. Chris Madden was the champion in the series inaugural run in 2019-20.

Dennis ‘Rambo’ Franklin currently leads the Carolina Clash standings over Brett Hamm, David Yandle, Ross Bailes and Michael Brown. Franklin’s lead is only 5 points over Hamm.

Ross Bailes and Austin Kirkpatrick won the two previous Carolina Clash features held at Cherokee in 2020.

Mitchell pulls off track. He appears to be out.

Overton comes to the pits to change the right rear. He, Hamm, and Hicks will start from the rear.

Tires becoming a big factor.

On the restart, Brown. Officials determine he intentionally brought out a caution and send him off track.

On the restart, Davenport has a flat and hits the backstretch wall. Strickler also has a flat.
