Feature Re-cap: When the 40-lap feature took the green flag it was Davenport who immediately began showing the way in front of Overton, McCreadie, Clanton and Scott. Clanton applied pressure to McCreadie in an attempt to grab third but was not able to find his way around early on.

Davenport pulled away to a lead of more than two seconds but a lap 8 yellow flag for the slowing car of Luckman would erase that advantage. But when green flag racing resumed, Davenport once more built a big lead over his pursuers.

With Davenport out to a big lead, Overton, McCreadie and Clanton staged a tight battle for second. Future back, Pierce was rising through the field as he took eighth from Moyer on lap 16.

The race leader found himself working through slower traffic at the halfway point of the race but he was still maintaining the race lead. Clanton finally took third away from McCreadie on lap 26 as he then looked to move in on Overton for second.

Davenport’s torrid pace allowed him to lap cars well into the field as the laps clicked away. He would eventually win by a margin of seven seconds.
