Kyle Larson, Joey Logano added to Bristol Dirt Nationals entry list

An announcement made earlier revealed that former NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch would be an entrant in the Karl Kustoms Bristol Dirt Nationals as a teammate to former Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Jonathan Davenport. Now, another former champion and one of racing’s most talked about drivers have also thrown their names into the mix as competitors in the event set for March 15-20 at the dirt covered Bristol Motor Speedway.

With the NASCAR Cup Series set to contest a one-day show at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 21st, some drivers have opted to take advantage of the scheduling in order to get a preview of the track they will be racing on in the Food City Dirt Race on March 28th.

The NASCAR Cup Series has not raced on dirt since the early 1970s.

Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano will race in the Open Modified division in the Bristol Dirt Nationals. It will be the Team Penske driver’s second run of 2021 in a Modified machine as he competed in that class back in February at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park.

Larson, who made headlines all throughout 2020 for winning scores of Sprint Car races as well as a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway, has entered to drive for the No. 6 K&L Rumley team at Bristol. He drove to victory earlier this season for that team at Florida’s All-Tech Raceway during SpeedWeeks in another LOLMDS-sanctioned feature race.

Updated entry lists for the Bristol Dirt Nationals can be found on raceXR.com. That site will also provide live PPV coverage of the event.
