Justin Peck had not won a Sprint Car feature race since early in the year but he remedied that on Tuesday night at Kokomo Speedway with the High Limit Sprint Car Series. The home state driver had to not only pass but then hold off Kyle Larson to achieve the win.
The Buch Motorsports driver from Monrovia, Indiana earned $23,023 from the track located in Kokomo, Indiana in a race shown live by FloRacing.com. He also added a $3,000 bonus to his total as a result of a dice roll performed earlier in the evening.

Feature Re-cap: When the 35-lap feature took the green flag several cars in the middle of the pack brought out an immediate red flag with a crash that involved at least one roll over. Wise, Timms, Axsom, Randall, and Shane Stewart were among those involved.
Once the race actually got underway it was Day who went to the early lead with Larson, Thomas, Peck and Abreu following. With Day slipping away at the front, Larson, Thomas and Peck were in a tight battle for positions 2-4.
Norris spun on lap 7 to bring out a yellow flag. On the restart, Larson jumped to the lead with Day fighting back which brought Peck into the mix. Peck went to second passing Day on lap 16 in heavy traffic. Macedo followed suit passing Day one lap leader.
As the leaders worked through lapped cars. Peck and Macedo closed on Larson especially when the leader briefly jumped the cushion with 12 laps remaining. Peck got by Larson on lap 27 when Larson bobbled.
Larson continued to harass Peck as the laps clicked away but a caution for Norris on lap 33 would interrupt the fight. On the final restart, Peck held off Larson as Abreu moved up to third.
It was Peck’s fist High Limit feature win of 2023.
