Iron-Man Series Releases 2018 Late Model and Modified Schedules

The Chris Tilley promoted Iron-Man Late Model Series and Brucebilt Modified Series released its 2018 schedule on Saturday evening as part of its promotion of the Finn Watson Memorial event at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. Next year’s slate offers up a total of 14 Late Model races which will be accompanied on 11 occasions by the Open Wheel Modified machines.

Seven of the Iron-Man features will be contested in Tennessee with five races to be held in Tilley’s home state of Kentucky while tracks located in Georgia and Indiana will play host to one event each.

Mitch McCarter’s two facilities in Bulls Gap, TN(Volunteer Speedway) and Seymour, TN(411 Motor Speedway) will hold a total of four Iron-Man sanctioned events with Gary Hall’s Tazewell Speedway staging two races and the Tim and Angie Kyle owned I-75 Raceway taking on one race to complete the total of seven Tennessee offerings.

Kentucky’s Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside will take three Iron-Man contests in 2018 with Sitka’s 201 Speedway handling one show. Another race scheduled for the Bluegrass State has yet to be finalized.

Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA will take one race with Indiana’s Brownstown Speedway also hosting one show.

Two Late Model races offering $10,000-to-win highlight the series schedule. Five features will pay $5,000 to the victor with six races paying within a range of $3,000 to $4,400 as the winner’s share.

The Modified races all pay between $1,000 and $1,500-to-win.
