Iron-Man Modifieds headed to Wartburg Speedway this Saturday

Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series Wheels to Wartburg Speedway Saturday August 21

 

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 16, 2021) – The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will make its second appearance of the 2021 season at Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN on Saturday August 21, with the Open Wheel Modifieds racing 25 laps in their main event that pays $1,200 to win and $125 to start.     

 

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will visit Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN on August 21 and will see Open Wheel Modified competitors in a full program of Practice, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Last Chance Heats, and the 25-lap, $1,200 to win/$125 to start feature event.  Joining the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series in competition at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 21 will be the track’s Late Model, Sportsman, Street Stock, Pony, Thunder, Front Wheel Drive, Dwarf, and Mod Mini divisions, plus the track will have make-up features for the Late Model, Pony, Thunder, and Front Wheel Drive divisions from a previous rainout.  Activities at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 21 will see the pit area and general admission areas open at 3:00 p.m.  The driver’s meeting will be at 7:30 p.m., with practice laps getting underway after the drivers meeting.  Ticket prices at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 21 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults (children ages 7-12 are $5), $20 for adults in tier parking (children ages 7-12 are $10), while a pit pass for adults will be $30 (children ages 7-12 are $15). 

 

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the event and the tire rule will be as follows:  Left Front, Right Front, and Left Rear- Hoosier M30S and American Racer Hard; Right Rear- Hoosier M30S, M60, Medium, and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard.  All tires may be siped anywhere on the car.  No grooving of any tires.  Drivers will be required to time trial and heat race on the same four tires that must be marked prior to time trials and will be allowed one (1) new rear tire for the feature event.  The entry fee will be $40 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track.  Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $30 tow money.

 

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series was in action at Wartburg Speedway back on May 15 and Blake Brown would become the first repeat winner with the series in 2021 by claiming the event win over Clayton Miller, Brandon Kinzer, Michael Asberry, and Amos Bunch.  Blake Brown of Corbin, KY is the current Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series points leader coming into the August 21 event at Wartburg Speedway, with Ricky Tinch of Deer Lodge, TN, Wayne James of Newport, TN, Amos Bunch of Wartburg, TN, and Brandon Kinzer of Lexington, KY completing the top five in current series points heading to Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 21.
