I-75 Speedway up for sale

I-75 Speedway co-owner said the facility located just outside of Sweetwater, Tennessee is now up for sale. The ownership group was expected to shorten the track from its 5/8-mile configuration down to a 3/8-mile layout. Sopha made the following announcement on the MRM Racing Message Board forum:

No reason was stated why the project did not come about. Just this past Friday, Sopha opened another new track, I-40 Raceway, for its first open practice in anticipation of opening for racing in the near future. Reconfiguration was slated to take place during the first part of this year with a target opening date of early April. Weather and other factors affected construction to even begin.

Inside Dirt Racing will continue to follow this development.
