Feature Re-cap: At the start of the 50-lap feature it was Zeigler who stormed to the lead from the outside line with Marlar, Pierce, Erb and O’Neal trailing. Further back, Davenport, Overton and Blair were engaged in a furious fight for positions 6-8.

By lap 10, the top-4 of Zeigler, Marlar, Pierce and Erb ran in tight formation as they looked to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. On lap 14, Marlar, Pierce and Erb ran several sets of turns in near three-wide formation as each driver employed decidedly different lines.

Marlar slid of the track on during the lap 14 battle which cost the No. 157 several spots which led to a caution.

After the restart, Zeigler continued to lead over Erb, Pierce, Davenport and O’Neal. Erb drove to the lead of the race by passing Zeigler on lap 19. But the high running Zeigler returned the favor one lap later. Erb and Zeigler would continue to take turns leading the race with Erb running on the very bottom and Zeigler on the very top.

Zeigler, however, began to fade as he dropped back to fifth by lap 30. Erb led O’Neal, Pierce, Overton and Zeigler at that time.

With 15 laps remaining, Erb had open his lead to slightly more than two seconds. Continuing to run the low line, Erb caught up with the tail of the field with no one looking to come off the bottom lane.

O’Neal closed on the leader as the front runners were stuck behind slower cars. But in the end, it was Erb who would sail under the checkered flag for the victory.
