Feature Re-cap: At the start of the 35-lap feature it was Sweet who took the lead over Larson, Sanders, McFadden and Gravel. On the second circuit it was Gravel who would get around McFadden for fourth on the lightning fast track.
Larson closed in on Sweet to challenge for the lead as the top-3 worked through heavy traffic until Timms crashed hard to bring out a red flag on lap 8. The driver walked away from the incident under his own power.
Sweet held the lead on the restart after trading sliders with Larson. Further back, Abreu burst into the top-5. But on lap 16, Larson moved by Sweet after a bobble by the No. 49 for the top spot just before a caution came out on lap 16 for the third place car of Sanders slamming the turn four wall.
At the time of the caution, it was Larson leading Sweet, Gravel, Abreu and McFadden. On the restart, Abreu jumped all the way to the runner-up spot behind Larson but a red flag for a flip by Shaffer negated the move.
Larson got away from the pack on the lap 16 restart building a relatively comfortable lead over a battle for second between Sweet and Gravel. On lap 27, Larson bicycled on the cushion dropping him well back. That elevated Sweet to the lead with Gravel and Abreu trailing.
Gravel made a pass for the lead on lap 30 with Abreu moving to second pushing Sweet to third coming to the white flag. At the checkered flag Gravel held off a late bid by Abreu to claim the lucrative win.
